- John 2:12-25
- To the Jews, the Passover became nothing more than a ritual. This can happen to us.
- In John 2, evangelism had been sacrificed for money. They had forgotten their original purpose. The saved were more concerned for themselves than for the lost.
- Jesus was angered because the leadership had began to focus on themselves and not on the needs of the world.
- People are looking for God. Where are we?
- The religious leaders of that time where basically saying, "What committee approved this?" They were more concerned about procedure.
- Jesus will not leave us unchanged. God cannot be fooled or tricked. He is a refiner and a purifyer.
- Are we genuine followers of Christ? When we ignore the needs of the world, God doesn't just "wink" at us and go on. He takes it very serious.
