- Matthew 22:37-38
- Many times, we compare our relationship with God to our earthly relationships, but we can't. God's love for us never changes. It doesn't depend on what we do or don't do.
- Genesis 1:2-- This is us without Christ. No matter what we pour into our life, only a love relationship with God can fill the void.
- Is God important to us? Don't forget about Him. Deuteronomy 6:10-15-- We tend to drift and forget God when things are going good.
- Genesis 3:9-- We try to hide from God when there's sin in our life. We make excuses, hide, and do whatever we can to avoid it, but He won't let us "change the subject." God still continues to ask us "Where are you?"
- God takes the initiative and comes after us. Romans 3:10-12 and John 6:44-45.
- God's work continues. He desires a real and personal relationship with us. When we have this, God can work through us.
- If we try to become self-sufficient, God will not be able to work through us. Without a proper relationship with God, there will be nothing.
