Fighting for Unity

Genesis 4:6-7
There is only one enemy of the church-- Satan. Division is one of his greatest, oldest weapons and his major objective and strategy.
- John 8:44-- Satan is the enemy-- not you or me. There's absolutely no truth in him.
- Job 2:9; Numbers 13; Mark 9:34; Job 1:6-12; Job 2:1-6
- The world is Satan's dominion and God's church is in the middle of the world.
- God puts limits on whatever Satan does. He can't touch the soul of a person.
Time does not heal all wounds.
- 2 Samuel 11-- David and Bathsheba.
- It's not OK to sin and assume that time will make it all OK.
- 2 Samuel 12-- Nathan confronts David with the truth.
- Psalm 51-- David could no longer play church and try to ease his conscience. Many times we hide behind works, offerings, and "sacrifices." But God wants us first.
