Is Christ Enough?

Mark 10:17-27
Everyone deals with this question sometime in their life.
This young man had everything, yet he came asked "is there something else?"
He came because life at the level he was currently at, could never satisfy completely.
Life is more than anything he had or could get.
Jesus said:
- The sin must be take care of.
- You must be clear with the basic principles of God.
- God's standards are the same as they've always bee (that's why Jesus went back to the commandments).
- The problem with the young man's money was not how much he had, but that the money had him-- and God won't allow us to live that way.
Jesus wanted this man to be free from the bondage that his money forced upon him.
Jesus was asking for a committment of ultimate love.
We must make sure that Christ's gifts do not take the place of Christ in our lives.
Jesus wanted that young man to be free-- really free.
What do we cling to today that prevents us from being free-- thinking that we will die without it? (The church, money, possessions, relationships???)
Christ is enough.
