Growing Deeper

Anger= When I get hurt or offended; Righteous Anger= When God is hurt or offended.
Galatians 6:1-2
We can't be pretenders (like a doctor that doesn't tell you when something's wrong)-- we can't pretend that everything will just be "OK," because it won't.
We have to love each other enough to confront each other when there's a problem.
Too many times we're more worried about what the person will think or say when we confront them and we wimp out.
Too many times we pray and hope that everything will be alright (and that's a good thing), but we never deal with or expose the sin (and that's a bad thing).
We can't just look past sin and go on. Ignoring sin is not the way.
There is a difference between judging and accountability.
Matthew 7:1-2; Romans 14:1-6; Romans 14:10-13; Matthew 7:15-20.
Judging is when it deals with my convictions, standards, etc. Accountability is when it deals with God's convictions, standards, etc. and His Word.
Luke 15:21; Confession= When I see myself the way God sees me. Characteristics of someone who is going through confession: Broken heart; Ownership of sin; No excuses; Willing to deal with the consequences even though there is forgiveness; Repentance (an about face-- confession is nothing more than being sorry for getting caught without an about face).
Forgiveness= You owe me no further apology or remedy; You may stop thinking about it and treat me as though it never happened and I will treat you the same way.

Proverbs 19:11-- not being so petty or overly sensitive (where everything offends you).
Are you a Peacemaker (someone who tries to get to the root of the problem so that real peace can come) or a Peacekeeper (someone who wants peace at all costs and mainly just covers up the symptoms of the problem)? A peacemaker is a mediator; has a close relationship with Christ; knows the enemy; knows the Word of God; is trustworthy and has credibility and integrity.
