- There is a difference between Belief and Faith.
- Belief is thinking about something. Faith is when we act on a belief (or experience something).
- Faith isn't something we turn on and off-- it's always active.
- Faith doesn't give up if something unexpected happens-- it just keeps going.
- Belief is never tested. When belief is tested, it becomes some kind of faith.
- Hebrews 11- None of these examples of faith ever received their final expectations while alive on Earth, yet they never lost their vision.
- We must keep it simple. We can't always rationalize it. God's thoughts are not always our thoughts. We can't understand everything He does or doesn't do-- we have to trust Him (faith) and know that He knows what He's doing.
- How many times do we run our faith in reverse? Many times we struggle because we put our faith in everything but God.
- 1 Chronicles 28:9
- We must make our faith our own. We can't live off of or borrow another's faith because we always have to give it back. We can't be content with another's faith because it's not our own.
- We can't "ride" or "piggy-back" on another's faith forever either. Eventually, we have to make a personal decision. Where is my faith? Where is my relationship with Him?
