- Neglect, according to the dictionary, is "a lack of due care and concern often resulting in an unintended injury to another."
- A neglected child, longing for the love of a parent, often suffers intense emotional trauma.
- Even more tragic is when we neglect our Heavenly Father.
- Patiently, persistently, lovingly, God extends His arms to us each day. How often do we ignore His love? Ironically, in this case, the person we hurt the most is ourself.
- James 2:14-- If you're not doing anything to help others or serve in your church, you are being neglectful.
- Proverbs 21:13-- You may think you won't ever need help from anyone, but when you do, don't be surprised when people just pass you by.
- Hebrews 13:1-3-- Show love and welcome arms to those who need it. Welcome strangers. There are so many needs. Move in to help those people who are longing to have theirs met.
- Matthew 25:35-40-- Going and reaching out to the sick, lonely, and poor. These are the ones that God remembers.
- 1 Timothy 5:8-- Family?
- Hebrews 6:10-12-- Think of someone who is needy. What can you do for that person that will please God and that person at the same time?
