- Sometimes, we live our Christian life like a bride who's standing at the alter, but has no idea who the groom is. She goes through all the motions, even the honeymoon, but there's no relationship.
- Sometimes we're like walking zombies-- mindless, directionless.
- Why don't we always 'feel' God's presence?
- Sometimes it's because there is sin in our life.
- Mark 10:17-22
- A lack of willingness to yield-- sin of selfishness. What are we holding onto that's more important than God?
- We're going to yield to something-- if not Jesus, then to sin.
- Genesis 3:8-- Blatant Disobedience= we sin and then try to hide it from the Lord. The trick is that you can't hide it-- there must be repentance.
- Luke 22:20-32-- Alterior motives (selfish in nature). What are our motives for going with God?
- Sometimes it has nothing to do with sin.
- Have we learned what He's taught us? Matthew 28:19-20
- We're being perfected-- 2 Corinthians 12:9
- We're being made complete-- Philippians 1:6; He's always faithful.
- Sometimes it's because there is sin in our life.
- We must wait on the Lord. We sure can't hurry Him up.
- We must speak the Word (John 1:1). We must speak Him.
- Psalm 63; 115; 121; 139
- Hebrews 4:14-16
