THE BOOK OF TAUNT
Jump to:

If you have possessions, you will surely find this true, unless you possess Jesus, your possessions possess you!

Poverty is a state of being helpless to help the helpless.

Prayer is weakness leaning on omnipotence.

The most pitiful poverty is that of a man who has more than he needs, but feels he doesn't have enough.

Prayers are little messages sent up to God at night to get a cheaper rate.

Powerful praying is not pretty phrases, but it is persistent prevailing.

Prayer is pulling the switch that operates the powerhouse of heaven.

Prayer is not a gimmick to get the Lord to help us get out of problems caused by our own laziness.

Only he who is helpless can truly pray. Your helplessness is your best prayer. It calls from your heart to the heart of God with greater effect than all your uttered pleas.

Prejudice is a great time saver. It enables us to form our opinions without bothering to get the facts.

A procrastinator is a man with a wait problem.

A promise is something you can keep after giving it.

A proverb is a short sentence based on long experience.

Relatives are people who come to dinner who aren't friends. (child)

Reorganization is something a business undergoes when it finds it has more vice-presidents than customers.

A Christian from India wrote a friend about a great revival going on in her area. She said, "We're having a rebible." That's a good definition. The church needs to be "re-bibled."

A rumor is the most buoyant thing there is. It is easy to float one and hard to sink it.

The rush hour is that hour during which traffic is almost at a standstill.

SALT- a substance that imparts a desirable flavor; a chemical that preserves from decay; it may be used to purify; it creates a thirst. The former definition was given by a Chinese girl in a young people's meeting and then she asked the question, "Have I ever made anyone thirsty for the Lord Jesus Christ?" Since Jesus called His followers "the salt of the earth" (Matthew 5:13), we should manifest in our lives each of the four characteristics of salt listed above.

Salvation is defined this way: God thought it; Jesus brought it; The Holy Spirit wrought it; The devil fought it; and I've got it!
