THE BOOK OF TAUNT
Jump to:

He who knows not, and knows not that he knows not, is a fool, shun him. He who knows not, but knows that he knows not, is simple, teach him. He who knows, but knows not that he knows, is asleep, wake him up. But he who knows, and knows that he knows, is wise, follow him.

Knowledge is knowing facts. Wisdom is knowing what to do with those facts.

A leader is a person who has two important characteristics: first, he is going some place; second, he is able to persuade other people to go with him.

A good leader is a person who can step on your toes without messing up your shine.

Leftovers are bits of food that are kept in the refrigerator until they are old enough to be thrown away.

A mother's definition of leisure: the spare time a woman has in which she can do some other kind of work.

Life is a grind, so use it to sharpen your wits.

Life is a one-way street, and we are not coming back this way again.

Life with Christ is an endless hope. Life without Christ is a hopeless end.

Life in these days is a senseless whirl characterized by three words: hurry, worry, and bury.

What we call life is a journey to death. What we call death is the gateway to life.

Life is a story in volumes three: the past, the present, the yet-to-be. The first is finished and laid away. The second we're reading day be day. The third and last, volume three, is locked from sight; God keeps the key.

Life is just one dumb thing after another; Love is just two dumb things after each other.

Life is like a game of tennis. The player who serves well seldom loses.

A song is not a song until you sing it; a bell is not a bell until you ring it; love in your heart was not put there to stay; love is not love til you give it away.

When another person's burden becomes more important than your own burden, that is the beginning of love.

Love is deciding to make your problem my problem.

Love does not mean that I must like what a person does or agree with him on everything. I may not like his vocabulary or his habits. I may not want him for an intimate friend (but I can still love him). Christian love means treating others the way God has treated me.

Duty makes us do things well, but love makes us do them beautifully.

True love is a gift on which no return is demanded. To love unselfishly is its own reward. To love for fulfillment, satisfaction, or pride is no love.
