THE BOOK OF TAUNT
Jump to:

The great drawback to a budding love affair is the blooming expense.

A rumor is like a check-- don't endorse it until you are sure it's genuine.

Beware of a half-truth-- you may have gotten the wrong half.

You can escape the penalties of sin, but you can't escape the consequences of it.

If there's no wind, row!

When you think you are alone and helpless in a situation, don't worry. God knows the truth, but waits.

How lamentable is the way we praise the dead saints and persecute the living ones!

There is a tremendous contrast between religion and salvation. Religion is man trying to reach up to God. Salvation is God reaching down to man.

The devil's number one strategy is to get you to procrastinate.

Instead of being "Latter Day Saints," why not be "Everyday Saints."

Try to be satisfied with your lot, even if you don't have a lot.

There are two characteristics of the devil we ought to emulate-- his persistence and stick-to-it-iveness.

What most kids object to about school is the principal of the thing.

To be ready for the Lord's coming is a necessity. To deny the Lord's coming is heresy. To fix a date for His coming is lunacy.

We may tremble on the Rock, but the Rock never trembles under us.

It is more secure to be on the front line of the battlefield with Christ, than to be seated in your living room without Him.

If you could kick the pants of the fellow responsible for most of your troubles, you wouldn't be able to sit down for six weeks.

We ask God to provide for our needs, and when he does, we congratulate ourselves on our ability and cleverness.

A man wrapped up in himself makes a very small package.

The trouble with a little sin is that it won't stay little.
