He doeth much that loveth much.
Faith expects from God what is beyond all expectation. The genuiness of our love for others depends on whether or not we really believe Jesus loves them. Our Heavenly Father is longing to do good things for us. If we aren't experiencing His goodness, it is because we really don't believe it. The best prayers often have more groans that words. Jumping to conclusions is not half as good exercise as digging for facts. If you are unkind, you are the wrong kind. Any man who knows all the answers most likely misunderstood the questions. The less a man knows, the easier it is to convince him he knows it all. A very bad thing about loafing is I can't quit and rest. |
Be patient with yourself and others. There are no shortcuts to spirituality. Growing fruit takes time.
Sitting still and wishing makes no person; the Lord sends the fishing but you must dig the bait! Fish don't just jump in the boat with you. They will ignore you unless your bait is something they're looking for. Nothing is more exhausting than searching for easy ways to make a living. Many people are like a wheelbarrow-- they go no further than they are pushed. He who continually watches the clock need not worry about the future. He simply doesn't have any. There is nothing wrong with sleep, just don't overdo it. Avoid following the crowd. Be an engine, not a caboose. The concept many have of leadership is to observe which way the crowd is going-- then grab a flag, run to the front of the gang, and yell, "I'm a leader! I'm a leader!" Those who are willing to face the music may someday lead the band. |
