If you find a path with no obstacles, it is probably a path that doesn't lead anywhere.
Do not be discouraged-- it may be the last key in the bunch that opens the door. If you go against the grain of God's laws, you get splinters. More people commit suicide with a knife, fork, and spoon than with any other weapon. If your efficiency doesn't have Christ's sufficiency, it will result in deficiency. The best thing to do behind a person's back-- is pat it. He who provides for this life, but makes no provision for eternity, is wise for a moment, but a fool forever. We humans make provisions for this life as if it would never end, and we make provisions for the life to come as if it will never begin. We will have all eternity in which to celebrate our victories, but we have so little time left in which to win them. Diplomacy is the art of saying "Nice Doggie!" until you can find a rock. |
The probability of life originating by accident is comparable to the probability of the unabridged dictionary resulting from an explosion in the print shop.
A man may make many mistakes, but he is not a failure until he starts blaming someone else for them. Failures are divided into 2 categories: those who thought and never did, and those who did and never thought. Men who try something and fail are infinitely better than those who try nothing and succeed. There is no such thing as real failure inside the will of God. There is no such thing as real success outside the will of God. The trouble with stretching the truth is that it is liable to snap back. When looking for faults, use a mirror, not a telescope. We should cover the faults of our fellow workers with a cloak of charity, because we may need a circus tent to cover our own. A fish grows faster than anything living-- especially when a fisherman is describing it. Don't fear tomorrow for God is already there. |
