"Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that
counts can be counted." - Albert Einstein
Those who bless God in their trials will be blessed by God through their trials. Some people pray for more than they are willing to work for. There is much in the world to make us afraid; there is much more in our faith to make us unafraid. If Christ is the center of our lives, the circumference will take care of itself. God's answers are wiser than our prayers. The more difficult the obstacle, the stronger a person becomes when he hurdles it. Following a human leader may lead to a sidetrack; following Jesus keeps us on the right track. Sometimes we learn more from observation than from explanation. I can never stray so far that God cannot reach me. |
God is at work in our troubled world, and we are God's instruments for the expression of that work.
God asks us to be available, not perfect. He'll take care of the rest. To commit ourselves in God's will is the safest, surest step in our times of decision. Anger and jealousy are traps that God's love can help us avoid. Even if you're on the right track, you still get run over if you don't keep moving. Those who can't mind their own business either have no mind or no business. When I woke up this morning I had one nerve left, and now you're getting on it. Death guarantees the sinner's penalty and the saint's promotion. He who cannot be angry at evil lacks enthusiasm for good. Man weighs the deeds, but God weighs the intentions. |
