“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16 (ESV)
Consider: Usually, the best gift we can give to anyone is the gift of ourselves – our time, our talent, our energy, and so on. God did the same for us – He gave Himself. Not only can we have a deep friendship with Him here and now, but also into eternity. His gift made the way.

Most Christians who quote John 3:16 from memory will change the word “should” not perish to “shall” not perish. In the english language… one of the words is an “absolute” (shall) and the other word “should” requires further action out of obedience to the Holy Spirit!
Another miss quote is in Lord’s Prayer! Most say “on” Earth as it is in heaven.” It really is Thy Kingdom come Thy will be done “in” Earth as it is in heaven. We are made of Earth by the Hands of our God and His Kingdom is comming “in” those who walk in obediance to His Holy Spirit.
There is so much God is now teaching those who hunger for the Truth about His Word. Don’t miss out on what Jesus (the living word) is teaching about the written word.
Thanks Keith – those are great points. It’s pretty amazing how the smallest words can make the biggest difference.
